Les saintsSainte FleurNée à Maurs (Cantal, France) d’une famille de 19 enfants, elle y mena une vie difficile. Elle devint religieuse hospitalière à Issendolus (Lot), dans un hôpital de l’Ordre de Saint Jean de Jérusalem. Tourmentée intérieurement par le démon qui voulait lui faire perdre sa chasteté, elle trouva la sérénité à travers la prière et la charité au service des malades. Elle est spécialement honorée dans les diocèses de Saint-Flour et de Cahors.Elle est la patronne de toutes celles qui portent un nom de fleur et qui n’ont pas de patronne ’officielle’. |
